Winners and Losers in Indycar

Winners this week

Will Power

After going a lap down and being forced to have a nose replaced on the car. Will Power won the race with great fuel strategy. Holding off Josef Newgarden and Alexander Rossi   ,Will Power won his 3rd race of the Season at Pocono.  Power is now 5th in the standings and looking to add another at Gateway this Saturday.

Josef Newgarden

Finished second and now has a small lead on the other indycar drivers including Scott Dixon. He also looks for another win or to extend his lead going into the race this weekend. Could this season be the first championship for the young Penske driver?

Alexander Rossi

Great car great drive the entire race. If Power had a not saved fuel the way he did I think Rossi would have won the race Sunday. Overall Rossi is having a wonderful season. He has been on the verge of a win all season and looks like he is just getting better and learning more as the season goes on. With Andretti Herta Autosports no knowing what engine they are using could make Rossi switch teams. If he does (Pretty sure he will stay at Andretti Herta Autosports) it will be interesting to see where he lands. Whatever happens he will be a great driver for the series.

Losers

 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports

Both James Hinchcliffe and Sebastian Saavedra both wrecked on Sunday. Which for a two car team is never good. Hopefully they rebound at Gateway Motorsports Park. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports also has to look for a new driver in the 7 car for next year as well.

Next Race:

Gateway Motorsports Park

It is in Madison Illinois and a short oval of 1.25 Miles and should be a favorite between the drivers. Look for some drivers to build on there success they have had this year like Will Power. Also look for some to find there way back to the top like Conor Daly and Graham Rahal. Be sure to watch the race Saturday on NBCSN and the green flags drops at 9:40PM. Be sure to check out the race.
